Małgorzata Bieńkowska
Małgorzata Bieńkowska
is a graphic designer, and book illustrator. Since 1986, she
and her husband Andrzej Bieńkowski, worked on documenting
Polish and Ukrainian village life. In November of 2007 she opened
"Muzyka Odnaleziona" - a publishing firm devoted to
documenting ethnic music and photo archives from Eastern Europe.
She is engaged in publishing, graphic books development, concert
productions, exhibitions and public relations.

Andrzej
Bieńkowski
Andrzej Bieńkowski
is a painter, ethnographer, writer and professor at the Warsaw
Academy of Fine Arts in Poland. For the last thirty years he
has traversed rural Poland to document and record the music
of village fiddlers, accordionists and singers. He has produced
many books and films about rural Polish music, including the
Music Lost/Found series. He
currently owns the largest private collection of rural music
in Poland.
